Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Membership
1.1 Membership at The Mount Golf and Country Club , located within the grounds owned by Mill Bay Holdings ltd (referred to as 'The Proprietor'), is subject to approval at the sole discretion of the Proprietor. Submission of an application implies agreement to these terms. Fraudulent or false information may result in membership cancellation and restitution of fees.
1.2 Acceptance of membership constitutes a binding agreement, obliging members to adhere to the club's rules and regulations, including any future amendments. The Proprietor reserves the right to limit the number of members in each category.
1.3 Annual and Direct Debit members have 7 days to cancel their agreement in writing, receiving a refund for the first Direct Debit or annual fee only.
1.4 Membership cards are property of the Proprietor and must be presented for access to club facilities. Any misuse may result in membership cancellation. Lost or damaged cards may incur replacement charges.

Membership Charges & Payment Options
2.1 All members are responsible for annual or monthly membership fees, regardless of facility usage.
2.2 Membership fees may be paid monthly (Direct Debit), in advance, or as monthly fees, with all memberships valid for 12 months unless specified otherwise.
2.3 The Proprietor may increase fees annually. Direct Debit members must provide written notice to terminate their membership after 12 months.
2.4 Entrance fees and annual subscriptions are set by the Proprietor. Subscriptions are due at the end of each 12-month period. Delinquent payments may lead to reapplication for membership.
2.5 The annual club card fund is non-refundable and must be used within each 12-month membership period.
2.6 Membership terms are for 12 months, with no refunds available for any reason. Outstanding payments may be referred to a debt collection agency.

Membership
3.1 All membership categories are subject to the prevailing Terms and Conditions of Membership.
3.2 Joint memberships are available with payments from a single bank account. Only joint payment options for joint memberships are permitted and members must live in the same household proof may be required at the time of joining.
3.3 Membership numbers are determined by the Proprietor, with full members required to be at least 18 years old. Exceptions may be made by the Proprietor.
3.4 The Proprietor may admit new members at their discretion.

Physical Health of Member
4.1 Members warrant that they are in good health and capable of participating in golf activities without risk to their well-being. Any Members playing with medical conditions that may cause heightened risk must report these issue to the Pro Shop

Limitation of Liability
5.1 The Proprietor's obligations and liabilities are detailed in this agreement and applicable Regulations. The Proprietor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, damage, or theft.

Expulsion of Members or Termination of Membership by the Proprietor
6.1 Breach of club rules or conduct detrimental to the club, its members, or the Proprietor may lead to an investigation committee hearing. The committee will recommend actions to the Proprietor, whose decision is final. The Proprietor does not require the approval from the committee and has the overriding decision on all matters
6.2 The Proprietor may expel or terminate membership:
Without notice for conduct injurious to the club.
By written notice for unpaid or late fees.
In cases of threatening behaviour or staff disregard.
With reasonable notice in writing.
Online slander towards the club or another member of the club
6.3 Lapsed payments may incur administration charges. Members losing membership forfeit all privileges without refund and must return their membership card.

Club Premises
Members and their visitors must maintain cleanliness, decorum, and dress appropriately.
Food and drink not provided by the club is not permitted
Dogs are not permitted in the club house
Spikes must not be worn within the club house
Smoking and vaping must be done away from the club house

Introduction of Visitors
Members may bring up to three guests per visit at reduced fees. No person may receive reduced fees more than eight times yearly. Visitors must pay green fees and register in the Visitors Book.

Proprietor Facilities
9.1 Certain memberships do not include all services or facilities. Additional services may incur extra charges at the Proprietor's discretion.
9.2 Facility alterations or closures may occur without notice, with the Proprietor not responsible for any inconvenience.
9.3 Additional facilities may be added during the year, subject to additional charges.

Hours of Opening
10.1 Information on facility hours is available from the Proprietor, subject to changes. Notice of changes will be provided where possible.
10.2 The club premises will open and close at times set by the Proprietor. Special events or lettings may affect access. Visitors may be admitted at the Proprietor's discretion.

Management
The Proprietor manages the club premises, staff, and its use.

Alteration of the Rules
These rules may be altered, deleted, or amended by the Proprietor with prior notice and publication on the club notice board.

Loss or Damage
The Proprietor, golf club, and their officers are not liable for loss or damage to property or effects of members or visitors. Adequate insurance is advised.

Membership Bag Tags
Membership bag tags are the Proprietor's property and must be produced on request. Failure to do so may result in limited facility access.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction of the Courts
This agreement is governed by English law, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

Closure of the Course Due to Government Restrictions
16.1 If government restrictions close the facility, golf renewal fees will be discounted for the duration of the closure, based on the previous subscription amount.
16.2 Exclusions may apply to union fees or add-ons.
16.3 Extension of membership time may be offered at the Proprietor's discretion.
16.4 Failure to renew within 14 days of the renewal date will result in the loss of the discount.
16.5 Members Discount is non-transferable, credit must be on the members card and membership must be in date and up to date
